Gerunds are powerful. Learn to use them. Also powerful? Parenting. Learn to do that well. I'm trying to do just that. Because I already know about gerunds.

I would love to see this.
Sometimes
Sometimes, when things aren’t going well, you should put on a pirate costume and go to a party and see what happens.
I recommend this at any time, but Halloween is usually most appropriate.
Anyway, sometimes, that’s fun.
Most depressing artist quotation of all time.
The craziest thing about this quote from American artist Franco Mondini-Ruiz is that he’s not even finished: If it doesn’t sell yet again, he adds a luchador fighting a robot. If it doesn’t sell again, he adds a shark playing bass. And if, God forbid, it doesn’t sell again after that, he just gives everything in the painting a huge pair of tits. Roadtrip
I’ve been a little down this week.
I’ve been a lot down this week.
In fact, I don’t remember a time in my adulthood when I’ve been this down. And I mean in the mucky weeds, can’t breathe, passing through fire and hail, and for WHAT? down.
So many things are ending at once this month. I usually adore October, but I’ve made decisions, ended some relationships, and now I have to follow through on that. It’s not bad for me, but it’s happening. It’s real, and it’s happening. Oh my gosh, the train is here, and it’s happening.
For many years, I was exhausted. All the time. Tired to end all tireds. I was also existing about three inches behind my eyeballs. Watching what was going on around me, but only joining in with the bare minimum that I could, because I was so tired. And that was my life.
I’m not tired anymore. I’m fully inside of my eyeballs. And divorces are becoming final, friendships that are toxic have ended, and oh, yes, I’ll be 40 two weeks from today.
But then, October will be over, and November will be here. And as such, it’s time to travel again.
Next up: Nashville.
"My" Famous Mac n Cheese
Ok, ok. It’s originally from Southern Living. But it’s mine now, I tell you. Ha HA! I’ve stolen it, made it mine, and taken its glory! And I’m unapologetic! Take THAT, Southern Living. TAKE THAT.
